Curated, outdoor, prop infused sessions happen to be the kind of sessions I book the most.
It makes sense: Minnesota is a beautiful place, we are used to having our photos taken outdoors for the most part, and I like to think that my props are the bomb dot com. I love curated sessions.
I also really love photojournalism, lifestyle sessions.
What is a lifestyle session? Basically it’s a photographer capturing a part of your life– it is less contrived, less posed, and less prepared than an outdoor session.
However, it is is much less about the less, because what makes a lifestyle session more is what is contains, not what it doesn’t. I know. We all want pretty photos outside. I love those, too. I have several hanging up in my home. But what is right next to them? Lifestyle sessions.
Why a lifestyle session? This is a lifestyle session:

Our lives aren’t lived on park benches or pretty vintage quilts. They are lived this way:
Reading our favorite books on our favorite chairs
Baking cookies for our growing toddlers
Sipping coffee at our favorite shop with our boyfriend
Perusing an antique store with our mom
Those are real life, technicolor, vibrant moments that should be captured, too. I’ve priced my photography menu items specifically so that photojournalism sessions are more approachable. Let me help you dream up a journalistic session that you will cherish for years to come!
This is a perfect time of year to book a photojournalistic session.
