Our friend and fellow photographer Jess Devins of Foto Fillm Studios {go hire her!} took some great photographs of us when we cut down our tree. I've usually used fake trees in the past, including my tacky-but-delightful pink one, but Seth had been hankering to cut down a real tree since purchasing an ax. Okay!
We did a little research and settled on Hansen's Tree Farm in Ramsey, Minn. It was magical! I would highly, highly recommend going there for your own tree next year if you're local, and it's a great spot for photography. The staff is friendly, open to photographers, and they bag and tie your tree to your car for you.
These were taken on December 3rd… and two days later we'd find out we were expecting.
