In the past year or so I’ve been trying out a few new beauty products. Finding out we were expecting inspired me to be more diligent about what I am putting on my body, not just in it. I try not to be legalistic about things, and these are just products that I love:
Modere deodorant | This is probably my most favorite new product. I was introduced to Modere through my friend Sylvie and have been quite pleased with their products. What is great about this natural deodorant is that it rolls on and is quite light. It does take some getting used to, and it may sting at first. I drink quite a bit of water and am not a naturally sweaty person, but I haven’t noticed it not working. I know natural deodorants sometimes get a bad rap, this one really stands up.
NOW Sweet Almond Oil | A friend of mine recommending trying almond oil. I love using body oils and have been using coconut oil on my hair and skin for years, but I like trying something new. This is now my favorite body and hair oil. Since my hair is textured, it needs extra moisture and conditioning. I love putting this on my hair at night and my body right after a bath or shower. It is so rich and also lightweight.
Modere Body Butter | Sometimes I like something different than body oil and this thick butter is fantastic. I love that it’s unscented and totally moisturizing.
Tom’s of Maine Whole Peppermint Toothpaste | I’ve been wary of natural toothpastes before because I’ve always thought they tasted awful. I don’t know if Tom’s has redone their flavors, but I love this one. Seth doesn’t seem to hate it either, so that’s a win!
Beauty Counter Eye Makeup Remover | My former boss and friend Jessica turned me on to Beauty Counter. I’ve been wanting to find a high quality, non toxic remover for years, and this one is fantastic. A little goes a LONG way, and I’ve found with out BC products that is the case, so they are worth their cost.
Pacifica Brand Eyeliner | I picked up this eye liner on a whim one day at Whole Foods. I love it! It goes on smooth and lasts all day and isn’t hard to remove. I don’t wear liner everyday, but it’s a nice option to have when I want a bit more makeup on.
Bella Luna Botanicals Elation! Bath Salts | I love the power of social media… I found out about Meg’s wonderful products through a Facebook group I’m in. I took a bath today with these salts and they are just divine… not to mention they are just positively PRETTY!
