100 days until baby!

14th May ' 18

The beginning of my pregnancy seemed to drag. I couldn’t believe how slowly those early weeks ticked by. I think this was due to how sick I felt and our horribly long {even by Minnesota standards} winter. It seemed like I was going to be throwing up in a dark, snowy, icy land forever. Alas, spring and trimester two did arrive– and for both I am immensely grateful.

As I approach the end of my second trimester {which is so surreal to believe!} I feel like the days are now flying.

Last week, my friend Kimi of Oh, Hello Photo! and I hung out for a bit at her studio and she snapped some photos in honor of 100 days remaining in my pregnancy.

In some ways I feel like she’ll be here any minute, in other ways August feels forever away. I am grateful for so many things besides feeling better, and nice weather. Mostly, I am so excited for her to arrive. I cannot wait to see her face, watch her open her eyes for the first time, and share her name with our friends and family {we are 99% sure on a first and middle name, hooray!}.

I’ve been keeping a “to-do before baby” list on Trello and I’ve got a few immediate shopping items. The biggest being her car seat and stroller. We have two showers coming up, and once those are over, I’ll know a few more items to buy. I’m trying my best not to over shop, but it’s hard. The girl things are so, so cute. Ultimately, I know she doesn’t need much, and what she does need I can mostly provide just by being her mama.

100 days left, I think we got this baby girl!

I’d love to see you over on Instagram, follow along with my daily photos here:

Sharing my heart on moving from the city on the blog this morning. ⁣

“Much of my identity has been wrapped up in being a city dwelling lady and mama. I take quite a bit (maybe too much) pride in not being “basic,” as if enjoying things many others do is a sin. It’s not. I don’t believe I’ll ever be cookie cutter, but I’m finding myself settling in and loving non city life quite a bit. It doesn’t hurt, this magical house. I’ve longed for and wanted to live in an old home for my entire adult life. I love Victorians. This particular house has so many unique, interesting, lovely features that it would be impossible not to adore it [...]” ⁣

e l e v e n MONTHS | I still can scarcely believe it. Wasn’t she just born six, four, two months ago?!? The mama time warp is real and it feels too much like that scene in Interstellar when part of the crew has been gone minutes but that one man waited years 👀 Priscilla is 100 percent of whatever: loves to eat, nurses still 🙌🏽, big into clapping, learned how to wave, likes to take her bows out and then tries to put them back in, adores when da-da comes come, and is my little intense co-worker. I’m so in love. 🐳

right on the cusp of crawling and full of wonder for the living room curtains 👧🏻

I’d be lying if I said the bathtubs with window light didn’t sell me on this house 💁🏽‍♀️👏🏽 making all my bath session dreams come true!
