Priscilla had a wonderful, first Thanksgiving.
We celebrated at my mom and stepdad’s house, like we usually do.
I had a few less tasks than in years past, but still managed to make my key lime and sweet potato pies, Lion House rolls, and salted butter. I ended up breaking up the baking into two prep days at mom’s. I’m so glad I did that.
Choosing holiday outfits for Priscilla has become somewhat of a hobby of mine. I knew I’d love having a daughter, and picking out her outfits is honestly a lot of fun.
I had Seth choose from a few different dresses and I love the “my first gobble bib.” Ah!
I posted these side-by-side images on Instagram, but I wanted to blog about them, too. It’s crazy to me how much can change in a year— including some fuller cheeks on me, haha!
{2017 and 2018}
Per usual, my favorite part of the meal was this divine cheese plate. I’m still dreaming about it!
We have so very much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving:
A happy, healthy baby
Our wedding coming up {yay! We’re engaged!}
Family & friends who love us well
For me, a community of moms
Seth’s and my great work
The ability to stay home {for the most part} with Priscilla
