This past Christmas I had the fun idea of having a local photographer who I’ve long admire come and take some snaps of my mom, P, and I baking. Holiday baking with my mom is a wonderful tradition that I look forward to each and every December.
When I found out that we were expecting a daughter, all I could think about were the fun mother-daughter things we’d share… many of which I’ve done with my mom.
I knew booking this session was a good idea and the images truly make me so happy. Sarah did an incredible job:
For years we’ve been baking from a super old, but also incredibly awesome cookie cookbook. It dates to the 70s, I believe, and I love the old, yellowed photographers. I’ve yet to make a recipe that turns out poorly from these. I adore that mom has added masking tape to the binding, a sign of a well loved cookbook!
This time we chose a new recipe… and they turned out so so well that I hardly had any left for Seth when I got home. Ha! P was an angel and slept most of our session in her favorite wrap:
I will cherish these images forever!
