We’re surviving this winter. It’s a snowy one. It’s a cold one. We know it will end someday, but it has been tricky feeling cooped up with a little one. Thankfully, February was relatively easy to manage, it’s March that I despise. I’m already loathing it 😉
Here’s what we were up to in Feb:
Priscilla had her six-month well baby check up. Her doctor declared her “exceptionally healthy,” and gave us the go-ahead to feed her anything minus honey and cow’s milk. She loves to eat and I’m incredibly grateful for her good health.
We checked out a kid-friendly coffee shop in North with my friend Leah and her son Judah. P is finally getting interested in toys and had the time of her life— her expression in the second photo cracks me up.
We had a little blip with sleep for a bit, but P has been has been doing great overall. She still goes down to bed around 7pm, sleeps until 2am or 5am {if I’m lucky}, eats once, then it’s back to sleep until sometime between 6:30-7:30am. I’m not complaining. I feel so much more rested than I did even a month ago.
On another attempt to beat this ridiculous winter, the Ferguson kids, Courtney, and I went to the Children’s Museum. P got a membership from my mom and stepdad for Christmas, and I was thrilled to finally be using it. P had been earlier this fall, but slept most of her visit. This time she was quite alert and took much of it in. She seemed to love the xylophone and books best.
I’ve been having fun learning how to take better photos in our condo. There’s limited natural light, which I’ve turned into a challenge— not a bad thing. I’ve been learning how to edit to get skin tones a correct shade, it has been good for me. I’ve always lived in really bright spaces, this has pushed me a bit and I’m grateful for that!
We kept Valentine’s Day simple this year, and I loved it: heart shaped truffle burgers, delicious strawberry cupcakes, a pretty bouquet of pink tinged white tulips:
P crashed her friend Emma’s photoshoot at the studio on a Sunday afternoon. I love that they’re nearly identical in size, aren’t they so cute?! Afterward we all went out for lunch at Icehouse {where we’ve booked our rehearsal dinner!}.
A few days ago we checked out The Little Gym. I’ve been trying to get out and about more, especially since Priscilla seems to really enjoy and appreciate going places! Her favorite part of they gym were the tiny rings, brings back CrossFit memories for me 😉 I think we’ll go back another time once she’d a little bit bigger.
Our biggest news this month is that Priscilla got her first tooth! Our wonderful chiropractor discovered it at the end of our adjustment appointment one day. I’d try and get a photo but she’s hardly let us look at her tooth at all, haha! Technically, as of today she has 1.5— they’re the middle bottom ones and unbelievably cute.
