As a mom I am giving myself grace. Each and every day.
These photos were supposed to be taken a month ago.
Priscilla’s six month of life came and went— and with it, the Polar Vortex, travel, and general life kept us from making it into the studio for her milestone session.
I’m just happy that I got these captured at all. She is such a butterball these days!
I took these photos with the intention of giving some to Rachel of Birchberry Bonnets. She so kindly gave us two, spring bonnets a long time ago and I finally got them captured for her. They are too adorable. I have said often since becoming a mom that having a girl is so fun… dressing her is such a joy. I love to coordinate our outfits.
I have to say that so far, 6 and 7 months has to be my favorite age. P is laughing, super responsive to us, and SO very expressive. She is such a little person already.
I actually purchased this little red outfit a little less than a year ago while visiting Florida.
This fun, baby quilt was sewn for me by one of my Aunts. I love that it is now Priscilla’s. We also have a baby quilt from Seth’s side of the family that I will use in another photo shoot. We are so lucky to have these treasures.
P has just a few little “lovies,” including this Cuddle and Kind lamb and doll sewn by God mama Courtney. I recently purchased a Bitty Baby from the American Girl doll store here as it is going out of business. I was thrilled to find one that looked like Priscilla {fair skin, dark hair, and dark eyes}.
These days P is busy and seems to love to “play,” we start our mornings in her exersaucer, sometimes her play mat, then move onto breakfast. She like to hold and snuggle her loveies, crunch crinkle paper, and has recently discovered the toy xylophone.
Priscilla, half a year with you has FLOWN by. I cannot wait to see what the next six (five) months hold. You are my greatest joy.
