March & April Review

24th May ' 19

Spring has flown by and we’ve been busy: the ending of MOPs, playdates, going to the zoo, the park… Here is what we’ve been up to:

March 2019:

We visited Grand Marais and stayed at the cutest, old cabin. I blogged about that here. It was cozy, and Priscilla hardly slept a wink 😉

Jess, her boys, Priscilla, and I had a fun afternoon at the Children’s Museum. I’m so glad we got a membership there!

Priscilla got to visit with both grandpas: Grandpa Greg was in town for a meeting and then we had my dad over for dinner. She has them wrapped around her finger that is for certain.

I feel like these two look so much alike here…

… and in April:

We went to the Como Zoo with Carmen and Emma, it was a little chilly but worth the fun. Leah and Judah came downtown and we walked to Whole Foods for lunch.

It was April so we had many a rainy, cool day. Priscilla stayed busy inside with blocks. She is really at the age where she gets into toys and it’s so fun to watch her enjoy them!

We all love when Seth gets home…

Priscilla positively loves the swings! She had her first go in one at Lake Calhoun and has been a big fan ever since:

We got for a walk almost every single afternoon if it’s nice! April had a few warmer days that were perfect for longer strolls in our UppaBaby Vista.

She only manages to keep these on for a moment, but they’re so cute when she does!

We had a fun day up at my mom and stepdad’s new Riverplace. Mom’s collection of vintage blocks and wooden animal toys were a HIT.

Bathtime has gotten a little better— P now seems to enjoy playing with her toys and the wash cloth. We still bath her about once a week because her skin is so dry. We use coconut oil which has been helping which is good!

One morning we visited my friend Kimi at her NE studio. She took these adorable photos of Priscilla and I. What can I say, I just love being a mom.

We ordered and put together (well, Seth did) our new highchair. It’s a Stokke and we love it. It can grow with her and turn into an adult’s chair which is great for us as we don’t have folding chairs or extra seating tucked away in case of a party. We still have her eat at the island in the clip on high chair, but we’ve used this one for Easter and whenever I cook and need a few minutes.

Our mornings look a lot like this, and I kind of love it:

I’d love to see you over on Instagram, follow along with my daily photos here:

Sharing my heart on moving from the city on the blog this morning. ⁣
⁣
“Much of my identity has been wrapped up in being a city dwelling lady and mama. I take quite a bit (maybe too much) pride in not being “basic,” as if enjoying things many others do is a sin. It’s not. I don’t believe I’ll ever be cookie cutter, but I’m finding myself settling in and loving non city life quite a bit. It doesn’t hurt, this magical house. I’ve longed for and wanted to live in an old home for my entire adult life. I love Victorians. This particular house has so many unique, interesting, lovely features that it would be impossible not to adore it [...]” ⁣

e l e v e n MONTHS | I still can scarcely believe it. Wasn’t she just born six, four, two months ago?!? The mama time warp is real and it feels too much like that scene in Interstellar when part of the crew has been gone minutes but that one man waited years 👀 Priscilla is 100 percent of whatever: loves to eat, nurses still 🙌🏽, big into clapping, learned how to wave, likes to take her bows out and then tries to put them back in, adores when da-da comes come, and is my little intense co-worker. I’m so in love. 🐳

right on the cusp of crawling and full of wonder for the living room curtains 👧🏻

I’d be lying if I said the bathtubs with window light didn’t sell me on this house 💁🏽‍♀️👏🏽 making all my bath session dreams come true!
