June was a crazy month for our family!
We purchased a new home in Stillwater and moved. I have blogged about that in other posts, but it really took up most of our month. I spent any free moment organizing, cleaning, donating items, selling things on Marketplace… it was busy. It was exciting. The hardest part was keeping the secret of our new home until everything was finalized. I was thrilled to announce with some images that my good friend Jess of Foto Film Studios took, but… the wait was hard.
Our month started with a trip to New York (also blogged). I still cannot get over how great Priscilla traveled. She slept well, was flexible, loved the airplane/cab rides/walks. It was wonderful to be in NY in summertime. I had the chance to grab dinner quickly with my dear friend (and bridesmaid) Arlene and her husband Michael. It was a whirlwind trip, mom and I are already considering going back in November. It’s truly an easy flight there and the city is quite baby friendly.
June marked a few fun things for our little family:
P wore her hair in pigtails for the first time. I can’t get over how adorable she is in them!
We got her room set up almost immediately. I am planning on painting/wallpapering and replacing the green drapes in here with white or ivory lace ones. She’s been sleeping great since day one and loves her new space.
We spent our first few nights here sleeping in the guest room since we didn’t have a bed yet in our room. Our old bed is at the condo while we wait for it to sell, so it was the perfect time to purchase something new. After much convincing, I got Seth to agree to getting a king. We are loving it! We purchased a Casper brand mattress since I’m quite sure a regular king wouldn’t have fit up our third floor, narrow stairway.
Since moving in we’ve been busy: having guests, hosting parties, dinner gatherings, and exploring our new neighborhood. We honestly love it here. I’ve adjusted to non city life much better than I anticipated.
We are glad to have the move over and are enjoying our summer in Stillwater thus far! We’ve got lots ahead of us including showers, trips, a friend’s wedding, then our wedding in October. I know it is going to fly.
