This goes without saying, and I hate putting disclaimers on things, but these are our favorite shops for specialized items. I also love thrifting for Cilla and she wears a ton of Gerber brand onesies. We love our hand-me-downs from friends. I wish I sewed for her more, and the one little dress I made for her last month has been worn so many times already. We all have different budgets, priorities, and preferences. I love dressing Cilla up and have so much fun putting her in cute outfits. Some of the below shops have sponsored us with discounts and many, if not all of them, have affordable sales. I try my best to support local, small, female owned businesses and that often means paying more for an item. If you can wash it over and over again, if it’s a gender neutral color or item, and a classic silhouette it can be worn many times and shared with friends or siblings. Kids, like us, don’t need a large amount of clothing. I am hoping to create a newborn capsule wardrobe for this next baby.
Little Light Feet | I love putting Cilla in tights, and was introduced to this brand by my friend Lindsey. I’ve been ordering these for over a year now {once Cilla’s legs were long enough for real stockings}, and I am so happy with them. The thick, sweater styles are more durable than the crochet designs, but I really love the look of crochet so I usually order those.
Primary | I love this shop for everyday staples. I love that their designs are simple and gender neutral. Cilla has worn their striped bodysuits, pajamas, and I’ve ordered a little black dress for her in two sizes because I love it so much.
Mon Petit Shoes | This is, by far, my favorite shop for kid’s shoes. My favorite are the t-strap mary janes, so cute and and classic!
Kate Quinn Organics | I’m a little weird about prints, but Kate Quinn nails it every time. They have great sales as well. Every item is very high quality and has washed beautifully. My favorite shop item is the long sleeved kimono bodysuits. I just ordered baby brother the cutest sailboat print bodysuit and matching hat– their boy’s prints are just as darling.
Jamie Kay | I bought Cilla a pretty, simple knit sweater from here last year and she wore it all winter long. Their cardigans are simply divine.
Hallmark Baby | I didn’t even realize this was a shop until I noticed an ad one day. I’ve purchased holiday items and Cilla’s personalized pinafore from here. They also have a nice selection of toys including the wooden nativity I gave Cilla for her first Christmas.
Hanna Andersson | Kind of a no brainer, their cotton quality is excellent. I don’t always love their prints and prefer to stick to their classic stripe looks. My favorite are their swing dresses, pajamas, and swimwear.
Swanky Shank | The owner of this shop, Jen, is hysterical. This is my go-to shop for baby gifts {I love their “hello my name is” onesies}. The hand dyed bodysuits with cute sayings and appliques are so fun.
Birch Berry Bonnets | These are made right here in Minnesota and are so beautiful! Cilla has had several of these hats and I love that they are multi seasonal and the long, bias tape straps. I’ve also reversed them before for a different look.
Free Birdees | They make the softest pajamas and I love the matching pj and sheet sets. I’m sad that Cilla outgrew her pair from here.
Tsiomik kids | I found a dress from this shop before Cilla was born and fell in love. The classic linen paired with peter pan collars had me swooning. They are so well made! Cilla wore a little black dress with white collar from here for Halloween as Wednesday Addams 🙂
Burt’s Bees | Another crowd pleaser. I love their cotton, footed pajamas. During Christmastime you can usually order family sets on Amazon.
Summer Sprouts Handmade | These bows are made in Minnesota and often use vintage prints. I love their hanker chief bows… so, so sweet!
Juniper Brand Goods | Another amazing bow shop. They have the sweetest prints and solids.
Kyte Baby | I love how soft their cotton pajamas are! I just ordered a matching set for Cilla and baby brother.
Sora Street Boutique | A little of everything, this shop makes really cute printed pieces that have a vintage look.
Roolee Kids | They make the cutest mama and me matching dresses that I cannot wait to purchase. I originally found this shop when looking for nursing friendly dresses. Their little girl’s section is darling and very trendy.
The Fern Folk | I love their simple, personalized bodysuits.
