Hello third trimester! In so many ways this pregnancy has flown by so very quickly. I I cannot believe we are just two months from meeting our son. So much of the winter raced by with the holidays, I hunkered down in January, and then Covid-19 hit causing us to shelter in place. So much of this pregnancy has been lived at home. This has been a peaceful and gratitude filled time for our family. I’m starting to think about my upcoming birth more and more. I even started my Hypnobabies home study program {my birth course} last weekend. I love it so much!
Symptoms | I ordered a belly band a few days ago because this baby is low and getting heavy. I have annoying, persistent back pain and occasionally acid reflux. Thankfully I found a great home remedy for that– baking soda + water. I’m grateful that I haven’t needed to take any medication this pregnancy minus Tylenol here and there.
Mood | We’ve been hunkering down lately because of Covid-19 and I am honestly loving it. Being with Seth and Cilla all day is such a gift. I am happy and at peace.
Weight gain | Up about 8 pounds since my previous appointment. Haha! It was a shock to see that number. So far I’ve gained not quite 17 pounds.
Sleep/energy | Like my pregnancy with Cilla, I am sleeping so well. I rarely get up in the night. I did have a week of headaches that caused some insomnia, but once those passed I was back to sleeping so well. Energy wise I am hit or miss. I am starting to feel so, so big and absolutely in my third trimester. I miss being able to walk for hours without pain. I sometimes get so worn out by Cilla’s nap time that I lay down, too. I am reminding myself that it is okay to rest.
Food cravings | We have been eating GOOD. I got into sourdough like everyone else, which is delicious. I can’t get enough of kombucha, cheese plates {nothing new there}, lime popsicles, and fruit. I sadly killed my SCOBY before shelter in place happened, and I am so sad about it. Here’s hoping I can grab one from someone before baby arrives. I love my fermented goodies!
Food aversions | None, really!
