Thirty four weeks! I wish I could say that I am loving this stage of pregnancy, but the reality is that I don’t feel great this week, and have been a little worried that I’ll go into labor early. Thankfully my discomfort has lessened a bit today, but I am committing to putting my feet up and resting more to ensure baby stays put. I had Cilla a few weeks early and am trying to avoid going into pre-term labor as much as I can. Stay in baby boy!
{soaking up these last moments as a family of three}
Symptoms | Per my lamenting above I’ve been feeling very much third trimester. I have to pee all the time, I can’t get comfortable at night, I have insomnia, you name it. I don’t believe in complaining much during pregnancy, since there were so many years that I longed for this experience, but I am being real today. Living in an old home with three floors and a toddler who isn’t ready to walk down stairs yet has been challenging. Thankfully Seth is still working from home and can get Cilla in and out of her crib. I am so grateful!
Mood | Having to slow down a bit isn’t fun, I miss being busy and getting things done. Other than that I am feeling good. I am so anxious to meet this boy and see his face.
Weight gain | Twenty pounds so far, haha! I’m really hoping I don’t gain a ton more.
{I put together a little capsule wardrobe for baby boy, keeping it simple during those newborn days will really help me!}
Sleep/energy | I have had a hard time getting and staying comfortable at night. I guess it’s good preparation for being up with a newborn in the night.
Food cravings | Nothing really this week, we did end up with a MomoFuku cake a few weeks ago that was divine to eat.
What’s new | I think Cilla can sense a big change. She has been amping up the naughty toddler behavior recently and doing things that aren’t typical for her. I just think she sort of knows that something is happening. We’ve gotten quite a bit done, including ordering and setting up curtains for Cilla’s and brother’s bedrooms. I love making this house a home!
