baby boy’s nursery tour

17th May ' 20

Creating a space for this baby has been such a joy. I’m thirty five weeks this weekend, and we just put the last touches on this space yesterday. It’s incredible to think how far this room has come from a dark green, relatively sparse space to a light and airy baby boy’s room.

This is the boldest of all the colors I chose for our interior, and at first Seth and I weren’t certain we’d like it. It has grown on us, and I think it’s just so pretty. I wanted a blue or pale green room so badly, and like how it illuminates the gorgeous wood floors.

Yesterday Seth hung up this sweet mobile my dad gave us for Cilla almost two years ago. We didn’t end up using it for her, but I think it’s perfect for this space. After lots of researching and debating I ended up purchasing the Snuggle Me Organic. I am hoping for a baby who loves to sleep!

Putting together this gallery was so much fun. My friend from MOPs, Catherine, designed and painted that wooden sign which we used in our announcement photos. Right before Covid-19 hit we spent a weekend in Duluth with my friend Abby and her family and she kindly took some maternity photos of Seth and I. The top framed print is from our gender reveal by Kimi. Seth added the books, and I love that vintage picture of him as a baby.

It took me a while to find the right curtains, but I love these simple, linen panels. We actually have these in Cilla’s room, too.

We’ve since moved our bassinet upstairs right by our bed, and I just love it so very much. It’s the same one we used for Cilla and was given to us by a friend from Gahna.

I love that there’s still room for these cute, quaint twin beds. I had fun picking out some new bedding for them and went with ticking stripe sheets, white cotton blankets, and some decorative pillows I already had. Our plan is that someday Cilla and her brother will share this space.

My friend Heather was moving a while back and offered us this gorgeous dresser. I think it fits perfectly in here and I’ve got it organized with baby boy items. I cannot wait to dress him.

There we go. We’ve got everything ready, he can come when he wants to.
