One of my dreams for this birth was to have photography. I am so overjoyed that Mara made it to our birth and could capture such beautiful photos of the actual event. Then my other friend Abby came over that afternoon and captured some gorgeous photos of Langston at just fifteen hours old. It was truly so very thoughtful of her.

I love him wrapped up in this sweet, stretchy blanket. I broke down and did purchased a few items with his name on it. We were pretty settled on a first name for a while, but there’s always that chance, and I didn’t want to feel like I had wasted money.
Right before we had him I had ordered a few new pillows for our bed. I think I’ve shared this before, but we had to chop our headboard in half to get it upstairs last summer. It’s one of my favorite stories about moving in. I still have a few buttons I need to sew back on it. I love that Langston will have a letter board with his birth stats up in his room like his sister has in hers.
A family of four! I still cannot believe we have kids. Plural! Kids. I love Seth with all my heart. I would have never believed this would be our reality not quite three years after our first date on August 31st, 2017. I am truly overcome with joy.
For so many years I wondered if I would find the right man for me, marry, or even have children. My life exceeds my dreams in many ways. Seth is the most incredible husband and father and truly shines during the post partum period. He takes such good care of us, and I am truly very grateful for him. Cilla has been adjusting so well. She adores LJ, and even asked to have him sleep in her room last night. So cute!
{cute hat knit by my mom… it barely fits, haha!}
