This child! He is truly such a joy to mother. We are coming to the end of his fourth month, and it seems like it has been a long one because so much has happened for this little guy. The biggest milestone is that LJ finally rolled over, he is, as I suspected a belly sleeper now. He also survived the 3/4 month sleep regression and is back to sleeping like the angel baby he is. I cannot believe we’re on the edge of five months. That means he’s almost half a year old. Where has the time gone!? Thank God for photography so I truly can relive each moment…
Here is what life is like with LJ at four months:
He loves | Food! LJ started eating after a go-ahead from his amazing doctor. His first food was a bit of mashed up avocado, butter, sea salt, with breast milk mixed in. He’s also started on peas this week and loves them. This is truly one of my favorite parts of being a mom– exposing babies to food. I imagine he’ll be a great eater like his sister! I realized we were low on baby spoons and he’s on third hand bottles so it was time to order a few new items. He loves getting to eat at dinner time with the whole family.
He detests | He doesn’t love when I leave his nursery when it’s time for him to sleep. I can tell he’s noticing routines more often and is aware when he is alone versus not.
What’s new | LJ is officially sleeping through the night! After his regression we did a bit of work to get him back on schedule and now our nights are pretty routine. He goes down around 7pm, I do a dream feed at 9/10pm, and the he’ll sleep until around 6am. Each night might be a bit different, but he’s more consistent than ever. I am so glad I invested in learning how to teach him to put himself to sleep. The Taking Cara Babies course has been a game changer for our family. I cannot sing its praises enough!
{Cilla enjoyed being my assistant during these photos. She loves our old cameras!}
Langston’s eyes are still that creamy, dreamy gray-blue and I am praying so hard that they don’t change. I love them so much:
LJ is still a very happy, exuberant, expressive baby boy. I cannot wait to see his personality continue to grow and shine.
