Six months old already. These six months have been at times challenging, but always peppered by sweetness and Langston’s amazing smiles. As he has grown more and more of his personality is shining through.
LJ turned six months a few days before Christmas and we had a magical, fun Christmas. He enjoyed getting gifts, seeing family, and attending church. A few days after New Year’s we got him baptized at a little Catholic church nearby out house. We did this with Cilla and it is nice to carry on the tradition.
Here is what life is like with LJ at six months old:
He loves | More food: shredded chicken, scrambled eggs, and peanut butter. He’s done well with both allergens, so it’s a relief to have those two checked off our list. He eats three solid meals a day of at least one pouch of baby food, sometimes two and then a bit of BLW. He still thinks Cilla is a celebrity. He’s been rocking more and more which makes me think he’s on the verge of army crawling.
He detests | When you don’t feed him fast enough! He will get so mad and yell. This boy loves his food.
What’s new | He’s not quite ready to drop that third nap of the day, but he’s changing up his schedule a bit. Down for bed at night around 7:15-7:30pm and then up for the day around 6:30-6:45am. He does one dream feed still around 10:30pm. He’s out of all 3-6 month clothes and into 6 and some 6-9 month. I’m excited to see how much he’s grown at his next well baby visit.
This is truly the start of my favorite age for babies, though last month was pretty sweet, too. They’re just so fun and it’s exciting to see them experience and learn to love food. I cannot believe how many pouches we are already going through!
I love him so much!
Happy 1/2 birthday my sweetie boy! I’m now ready to start planning your first birthday 😉
